Modalities

What we Offer

Our Modalities

At Quattra Wellness, modalities are not “treatments you endure”. They are experiences that help your body remember how to regulate, recover, and thrive. Each one is a signal. A nudge back toward circulation, nervous system balance, cellular energy, and deep rest.

Some people come for performance and recovery. Others come because they feel stuck in fatigue, stress, brain fog, or poor sleep. These tools meet you where you are, then help you build resilience from the inside out.

Each modality we offer is rooted in well-established physiological principles and supported by growing research, while remaining simple, accessible, and human at its core.

Recharge at the cellular level with

PEMF

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) is one of our favorite “quiet resets”. You simply lie down and let pulsing magnetic fields support the body’s natural electrical rhythm. When cellular energy drops, the body tends to feel it first as fatigue, pain, inflammation, and slower recovery. PEMF is designed to help restore that internal charge so your cells can do what they were built to do.

People often describe PEMF as deeply calming, like a nap they did not know they needed. For some, the first noticeable change is sleep. For others, it is reduced tension, less inflammation, and a clearer mind. It is subtle, but powerful, because it works at the level everything else depends on: your cells.

The science: PEMF is not new. Variations of this technology have been studied for decades, including research supported by NASA exploring how pulsed electromagnetic fields may help counteract bone density loss and cellular deconditioning in low gravity environments. Today, PEMF is widely used in clinical and performance settings to support cellular energy, circulation, and recovery.

Feel lighter & clearer with

Lymphatic Drainage

Your lymphatic system is your body’s cleanup crew. It moves waste, excess fluid, and metabolic byproducts out so your immune system, energy, and recovery can stay strong. The catch is that lymph does not have a pump. It depends on movement, breath, hydration, and stimulation to keep flowing.

Our lymphatic drainage sessions use a full-body compression suit that gently pulses in a rhythmic sequence, typically starting at the feet and moving upward toward the torso. It is not painful. It is surprisingly relaxing. Many people feel lighter afterward, less puffy, less sluggish, and more clear headed. It is a beautiful option after travel, during high stress seasons, or when your body feels “stuck” and swollen.

The science: Research shows that the lymphatic system plays a central role in immune function, inflammation management, and fluid balance, yet it relies almost entirely on movement and external stimulation to function well. Intermittent pneumatic compression has been studied in medical and rehabilitation settings as a way to support lymph flow when the body is under stress, sedentary, or recovering.

Support resilience & recovery with

Cold Plunges

Cold plunging is one of the simplest ways to build resilience quickly. When you step into cold water, blood vessels constrict and then re-open as you warm up. This acts like a natural “pump” for circulation and recovery. Cold exposure can also support mood and focus through a surge of feel-good neurotransmitters, and many people find it helps with stress tolerance and sleep quality when practiced well.

We approach cold as a ritual, not a competition. Breath first. Presence next. Then a brief, intentional plunge that leaves you grounded, awake, and proud of yourself. If you have health conditions (especially cardiovascular concerns), we will encourage you to consult your clinician and to ease in gradually.

The science: Controlled cold exposure has been studied for its effects on circulation, nervous system adaptation, and neurotransmitter release, including increases in norepinephrine and dopamine associated with focus and mood. When practiced intentionally, cold becomes less about shock and more about training the body’s stress response to recover efficiently.

Wood-Fired Sauna

There is something ancient and deeply human about heat. A wood-fired sauna is where stress melts, muscles soften, and your whole system gets a gentle workout while you sit still. As your core temperature rises, circulation increases, the body sweats, and the nervous system often shifts from “fight or flight” toward calm.

We love sauna therapy because it supports recovery, mood, and sleep, especially when used consistently. It is also the perfect partner to cold plunging. Heat opens you. Cold sharpens you. Together, they create a rhythm that helps your body learn regulation instead of living in overdrive.

The science: Regular sauna use has been associated in long-term population studies with cardiovascular health, stress reduction, and improved sleep quality. Heat exposure increases heart rate and circulation in a way that gently challenges the system, often producing many of the benefits of light exercise while promoting deep relaxation.
